Wellness Morning Routine
Starting your day can be tough, especially when life is overwhelming. With these few holistic health tips, your mornings can become grounding and energizing!

Waking up with an alarm clock rather than your phone
Blue light first thing in the morning is the perfect way to instantly dysregulate your nervous system. Try to get rid of that tempting morning social media scroll by setting your phone on the other side of the room before you go to bed, and getting an alarm clock for your bedside table! My favorite is this one by Hatch. There are so many great features, like a red light option for before bed to help your circadian rhythm, many different gentle alarm options that don't jolt you awake, and the added bonus of it looking beautiful on your nightstand!


Starting your day with lymphatic drainage
As we sleep, our bodies begin to retain fluid, and our lymph can become stagnant. This can lead to brain fog throughout the day, overall sluggishness, and digestive issues. Start your day with just 10 minutes of standing on a vibration plate, and it will make your whole body feel refreshed and ready to start the day! I use mine every morning, and it has made a huge difference in my energy and digestion. I also like to do a small lymphatic massage while I stand on mine just to get an added bit of movement in the lymph. This is my favorite affordable vibration plate option!


Journaling and meditation
My final morning routine recommendation is either journaling or meditation. Better yet, both! Journaling can help organize the thoughts and emotions that might be swirling in our heads as we look at the day ahead. As someone with ADHD, I find that this is vital for me to quiet my mind and motivate me to activate on the tasks ahead. Additionally, meditation is a surefire way to regulate our nervous system and get into the right headspace to begin our day. I do both of these things sitting outside on my yoga mat. This is my all-time favorite mat that I recommend to you! It is non-toxic, sustainable, and non-slip.
